Sydney Badge 2020

UPDATE! (14 March 2020)
To help contain the spread of COVID-19, effective immediately Tennis Australia and its Member Associations are postponing all Tennis operated events, competitions and tournaments until further notice.

Are you ready to play or support your mates?

The Sydney Badge tennis competition starts on 14th March 2020. There are 14 rounds, plus semis. The grand finals for various divisions is on 1st August.

19 Collaroy Tennis Club members will participate and compete in this year’s Sydney Badge Autumn Comp. Three teams will represent the Club – two ladies’ and one men’s teams.

  • Ladies’ (Collaroy 1) – Div 4: Lynne, Eri, Julie, Sarah, Sophie, Sue and Vera
  • Ladies’ (Collaroy 2) – Div 5: Elise, Isabella, Lucy and Sophie
  • Men’s (Collaroy 1) – Div 6: Andrew, Charlie, Joshua, Maxim, Oliver, Peter, Roland and Vaclav

The 1st ladies team has seven adult members. The 2nd ladies team consists of four junior girls (14-15 yrs). This is the first time that Collaroy has a team of junior girl players competing in Sydney Badge. The Men’s team includes three adults plus five junior boys (15-17 yrs).

We are excited and proud of our junior members competing in this comp, where most of the competitors are experienced adult players. We know that our young players together with our seasoned players will do very well.

The Sydney Badge is the oldest tennis competition (with multiple grades) in the Sydney Metro area. Games are played home and away. Home matches (at Collaroy) usually starts at 12:00 PM, Saturdays:

  • 14, 28 March
  • 2, 16, 23, 30 May
  • 20, 27 June

Enjoy the 2020 Sydney Badge Competition!
