It was a stop-start season from start to finish. The long standing combination of Lynne Bridges and Julie King proved a winner despite the COVID-interrupted competition.

The girls had to call on the dependable Eri Fawcett for the early rounds with only 1 loss prior to Round 10 when play was stopped due to COVID, with no plan as to whether the competition would be abandoned altogether. Luckily, the Tennis Northern Beaches Monday Night Ladies competition was resumed late May which enabled the last two rounds to be completed.

The pair continued their winning run despite these interruptions and completed their semi-final and final wins needing only 2 sets to clinch their victory 6-3, 6-0.

It was a great night with both Collaroy and Careel Bay spectators venturing out into the cold June night to cheer their teams on (from the appropriate physical d – i – s – t – a – n – c – e ).
Congratulations and well done Lynne and Julie!
