One of the things Collaroy Tennis Club is most proud of is that we’re an inclusive club that welcomes diversity. It’s part of our DNA. We realise that everyone’s unique and that our differences contribute to our Club’s culture and future direction.
After holding an incredibly successful AO Pride Night at Collaroy Tennis Club on January 27 in conjunction with Tennis Australia and the Australian Open, Collaroy has received a grant from Northern Beaches Council to host a special community open day on Saturday March 4 in conjunction with Sydney WorldPride 2023 – the biggest international event in our city since the 2000 Olympic Games.
A showcase of our club’s welcoming spirit, COLLAROY TENNIS CLUB PRIDE DAY will be similar in format to RACQUETS AT THE REEF, our 100 Year celebration community open day held last year. A real carnival atmosphere will prevail with brightly coloured flags and bunting, music playing and a Photo Booth operating. Celebrities including Seven-Time World Surfing Champion, Layne Beachley, Stars of TV’s The Block and soon to host the re-launch of ‘Location Location Location’, Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie (a.k.a. mitch and mark) and former World Ranked player and media commentator, Kerryn Pratt, will all be dropping in!
