It's been a busy couple of weeks at Collaroy Tennis Club, starting with a visit from the PM himself on Saturday 16 August.
This wasn't in an official capacity (though his entourage of armed minders may have suggested otherwise). He was at the Club representing Marrickville, to play against our Div. 9 Men's Team in a Badge Semi-Final. It may not be a visit he'll remember fondly, as the Collaroy boys completed a comprehensive 6-2 victory to win their way through to the Final.

A solid enough player, one member was heard to address him as "Mr P.M.", to which he replied - "No. When I'm playing tennis, I'm just Anthony." It seemed quite unique that while two other 'world leaders' were meeting in Alaska to (presumably) discuss ways of ending a war, our P.M. was having a hit at Collaroy, then enjoying a meat pie from famous local patisserie, 'Upper Crust', along with a cold beer... only in Australia.
